Ministry Update:  A Summer in Hungary

Tom's JournalIn July of this year, I visited a mission organization that I personally sponsor. The mission is Word of Life in Hungary. I was accompanied by my entire family to spend a full week at the Word of Life Camp teaching English to the Hungarian children. My family, my wife Bobbi and my three children (ages 18,16 and 12), also taught English. We had a blast together. This week was jam packed with activities. We ate all our meals together, slept in the cabins with them, played touch football (that was an experience teaching football and having it translated into Hungarian), there was swimming, basketball, volleyball, camp fires, singing and tons more. The day would start at 8 am and normally finish at 10 pm. This week not only changed many young Hungarian lives for Christ, but it also changed my family's outlook on what is really important to us and how we view the lost. This was a great way to spend a family vacation. Working and witnessing together. God surely blessed the Conner family this summer.

Josh's Journal:   Hi, I'm Josh Conner, and I am the IT (information technology) professional at Christian Foundation.  For ten days this summer, I visited the Word of Life Camp in Hungary in order to assist the staff  in setting up and building computers.  This was my second time to visit the camp.  I went with Tom Conner and a team from a church in Indianapolis and we also met up with Jeff and Gina Kremkau from Florida.  It was also a lot of fun to meet the Hungarian campers, play sports with them, and be part of a ministry that has so much impact in the country of Hungary.  I really saw God work in the lives of the Hungarian kids and teenagers at the camp.  On the last day we went sightseeing in Budapest, saw castles, and ate authentic Hungarian food.  It was neat for me to help the camp with their technology needs and to know that the time I spent will help this ministry in Hungary.
